Electric bikes have been steadily growing over the last few years, and in 2020, sales of e-bikes surged to the point where demand is growing faster than supply. But if you’re willing to wait a few months, your patience can pay off with some of the new e-bikes hitting the market.
One of those bikes is the new Ristretto Electric 303 FS and it’s a beast. It weighs a beefy 84 pounds with 26” diameter fat tires, all driven by an 11-speed Shimano drivetrain. But one of the more impressive specs of this bike is its top speed of 40 mph. Riders should be cautioned though, speeds that high are not street legal in many areas. When pushing the 303 FS to its limits, consider using a private roadway.
Some other features include:
– Bluetooth connectivity. This e-bike even comes with its own app. The app allows you to customize your riding experience. And with optional GPS integration, you can track your rides or find your bike if it’s stolen. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
– A 52V, 17.5 Ah battery. That translates to a 55-mile range. However, if you’re going to be riding at the maximum of 40 mph, you can expect a significantly less range.
– 2 riding modes. First is the street-legal mode that tops out at 28 mph. The second is the race mode that tops out at 40 mph.
– Adjustable front and rear suspension for maximum rider comfort.
If the Ristretto Electric 303 FS interests you, you’ll have to wait. The bike doesn’t start shipping until October 2021. If ordered after June 10, 2021, deliveries will begin in December 2021. Further, getting your hands on one of these premium e-bikes is going to set you back $3,099 if you pre-order on Indiegogo. But if you wait to buy retail, be prepared to pay $3,920. While that might seem like a steep price to pay, the premium specs of this e-bike will make it worth every penny.
