Packaging on the 24″ bike says “Recommended for riders 56″ to 62″ inches tall”. I weighed the bike after fully assembled. It’s 36 pounds including kickstand and reflectors (which are pre-assembled on bike).Assembly was easy: Simply install the handlebars, front wheel, seat and pedals (which are clearly labeled left/right and show thread-direction) and inflate the tires. Everything else is pre-assembled and pre-adjusted (even the brakes and shifters, but I needed to tweak the brakes slightly). Has good instructions, but you will need tools.

The plastic gear in the rear derailleur broke on the first ride. Although I could replace the part, I’m returning this because I’m not sure what else will break after the return period.

I bought this for my daughter. It arrived in a damaged box and had various things wrong because of damage. But not all damage was from shipping. It had very faulty brakes. Even the littlest of pressure caused them to lock and leave tread over driveway. I then noticed the tires lost pressure immediately, so I pulled out tube and the tube was dry rotted and could explain the tires leaving marks so easily, just by scooting tires across drive because I was a bit upset with my daughter. Point is it was not her fault. IF…the bike was brand new from factor with in a decent time frame, I would buy this again for her, but since the tires and tubes were dry rotted I’m guessing this is old stock so I’m going to stay away due to my daughters safety. There are already enough concerns while riding a bike not to add the bike falling apart to the mix.
